Children in Botswana
According to the children’s rights act of Botswana, a child is any person below the age of 18. There are therefore 716, 695 children in Botswana comprising of 364, 807 boys and 350, 888 girls. For every 1000 people, 20.7 are new born children. This indicates a slow population growth in general. On the other hand, 45, 036 children are said to be involved in child labour while 11.2% of children in Botswana are underweight- CIA World Factbook.
