SOS Children’s Villages Botswana Invites the Media to a Press Briefing on Launch of Face-to-Face Fundraising Campaign

SOS Children’s Villages Botswana is a non-profit making organisation dedicated to supporting children who have lost parental care or are at risk of losing it.  We are excited to announce the launch of our new Face-to-Face Fundraising initiative.  We will be holding a press briefing to provide details about this innovative campaign, how the public can get involved and how it will directly benefit children in need.

The press briefing will take place on 28th January 2025 at 10:00am, at SOS Children’s Villages, Tlokweng.  This event will serve as an opportunity for the media and key stakeholders to learn more about the campaign’s objectives, the role of our dedicated fundraisers, and how the initiative will raise awareness and crucial funds to improve the lives of children who face the trauma of losing parental care.

Key highlights of the briefing include:

  • An overview of SOS Children’s Villages Botswana.
  • Introduction of the face-to-face fundraising approach, including the role of fundraisers as ambassadors in the field.
  • Insight into the importance of providing care and support to vulnerable children and families.
  • A discussion of the ethical guidelines and transparency measures followed by the organization, ensuring no direct cash donations are requested.
  • Information on how the funds raised will directly support SOS Children’s Villages Botswana's programs, which provide shelter, education, and emotional care for children at risk.

We are thrilled to introduce this new method of fundraising that will directly connect us with the public and help us raise critical funds to support children who need it most.  We therefore invite the media and our stakeholders to join us for this briefing.
