The work of raising children requires all stakeholders' involvement, as the saying goes; ‘’It takes a village to raise a child’’. Everybody’s involvement makes a difference. Volunteers get involved in:
- Tutoring the children
- Coaching different sports codes
- Maintenance work
- Fundraising activities, etc.
Since SOS Children's Village is a home with children, youths, and caregivers, volunteers are expected to add value by imparting skills rather than doing domestic work such as cooking, cleaning, and washing which is done by the children and their caregivers.
To ensure the protection of children against any kind of harm, we take all due diligence which sometimes may include police clearance and/or medical exams before one can be allowed to interact with children.
